Our work spans three nature-based activities — Protected Area Management, Forest Carbon Conservation, and Sustainable Farming — each anchored by a flagship project in Pahang.
A protected area is a clearly defined region managed through legal or other robust measures to secure long-term conservation. As one of the world’s most biodiverse nations and a signatory to the Convention on Biological Diversity, Malaysia depends on well-managed protected areas to safeguard its wildlife.
Our approach combines proactive and responsive strategies, with active species management through anti-poaching patrols and field research. We recognise that landscapes — and the communities who safeguard them — are inseparable, so we work in partnership with businesses, governments, and local communities to make protection effective and durable.
Enggang currently manages the Al Sultan Abdullah Royal Tiger Reserve. Our long term ambition is to secure certification under the IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas, and ultimately UNESCO World Heritage recognition for the Reserve.

Forests are among the planet’s most important carbon reservoirs, and protecting them is central to both climate stability and biodiversity. Forest carbon conservation responds directly to the twin challenges of climate change and deforestation by keeping standing forests intact and restoring those that have been degraded.

We work across the full spectrum of forest restoration. Peatland restoration targets Pahang's freshwater peat swamp forests — waterlogged systems where permanently saturated soils slow decomposition, building deep, carbon-rich peat over millennia. Nearly two-thirds of the state's peatlands have been severely degraded; our work rewets and protects what remains while rebuilding its natural resilience. Where tree cover has been lost outright, reforestation regenerates it, whether through natural regeneration or by planting nursery-grown seedlings on land cleared by fire, pests, or conversion. Restored forests also stabilise soils, buffer against floods, and improve air and water quality.
Enggang is developing the Pahang Peatland Restoration Project, protecting and restoring one of the largest peat swamp ecosystems remaining in the region.

Sustainable farming aims to meet rising food demand without degrading the environment. Conventional mass-production agriculture depletes biodiversity and accounts for roughly a third of global greenhouse gas emissions; we are committed to a model that does the opposite — feeding communities while protecting forests and soils and raising smallholder incomes.
Our practices integrate two complementary approaches. Agroforestry combines trees and crops in a single system, producing timber and food alongside the soil health, shade, and ecosystem services that long-term productivity depends on. Sustainable agriculture manages the natural resources farming relies on: nurturing healthy soils to resist erosion, managing water efficiently, preventing pollution, and applying agritech to strengthen crop resilience against unpredictable weather. Together they let farms of every size contribute to local economies and food security.
Enggang will be developing a syntropic agriculture pilot programme at the Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Agricultural Park.
